Fairness Is Not A Republican Value

The chart above shows the effect of the Bush tax cuts. While it was touted as a tax cut for everyone, the reality is that the top 1% of Americans got much more -- and the top 0.1% got the biggest tax cut of all (exceeding the cuts of all other groups combined). That was bad enough, and those cuts should be repealed -- at least for those making the most (the top 1%).

Electing the Republican, Willard Mitt Romney (aka Wall Street Willie), would make things much worse. The tax cut he has proposed would almost make the Bush tax cut look fair. Willard's proposed cut would not only give the richest Americans a tax cut even bigger than the Bush tax cut, but it would raise the taxes on the middle class by an average of about $2000 (by abolishing the deductions the middle class counts on). In other words, the middle class would have to pay more to cover some of the cost of giving the rich a huge tax cut. The rest of Willard's tax cut would fall on hurting Americans, by large cuts to social programs.

Truly fairness is not a concern of Willard or the Republican Party. They claim to be the "values" party, but clearly, fairness is not one of those values. This is one more reason (among many) to vote the Republicans out of office in November.
