Minimum Wage

I may sound like a broken record on the issue of the minimum wage, but I believe it is one of the most important things we could do to restore some economic justice in the United States. It would lift many low-wage workers out of poverty (and take them off government rolls). This would increase tax revenue and cut government spending -- and it would also increase business profits (since these low-wage workers would almost certainly spend that new money, which would increase the demand for goods and services). In short, it would benefit both the rich and the poor -- and the government.
