The 73% of parents of children younger than 18 who worry about funding college tops the 70% of lower-income Americans who worry about having enough money to pay for medical costs in the event of a serious illness or accident.
Overall, 54 percent supported federal funding of Planned Parenthood, and 26 percent opposed it.
Currently, 85% of Americans – including large majorities of Democrats (88%) and Republicans (79%) – favor expanded background checks, little changed from May 2013 (81%).
Of the likely voters polled in early June, 69 percent said it is important to reduce prison populations -- with 81 percent of Democrats, 71 percent of independents and 54 percent of Republicans agreeing with the sentiment.
