The charts above are from the Gallup Poll. They questioned a national sample of 1,019 adults between August 31st and September 13th, and their survey had a 4 point margin of error.
It turns out that a clear majority (61%) of Americans say they support abolishing the Electoral College. That includes 89% of Democrats and 68% of Independents. Republicans were the only group opposing it, with 23% agreeing it should be abolished and 77% opposing that.
