Support For Regulating Personal Behavior For Common Good

The chart above is from a USA Today / Ipsos Poll -- done on August 17th and 18th of a national sample of 1,088 adults, with a 3.4 point margin of error.

It shows widespread support for measures that regulate personal behavior for the common good. They don't believe these measures impinge on the freedoms that people in this country enjoy.

Republicans want people to think that doesn't apply to state and local governments mandating the wearing of masks, or companies requiring their employees to be vaccinated. The public disagrees. About 66% support the mask mandates, and about 62% support the vaccination requirement. Those are significant majorities.
