It looks like Fidel Castro's health is continuing to improve. The Cuban government has announced that Castro will host a dinner for leaders of the nonaligned nations this week. Castro was expected to meet with some of the world leaders that will be present, but it was not known if he would actually attend the scheduled conference. His presence at the dinner means he is feeling better.
Leaders of 115 nonaligned nations are meeting in Cuba this week, along with U.N. head, Koffi Annan. During the conference, Malaysia will turn over the chairmanship of Nonaligned Nations to Cuba for the next three years.
Pictures of the recuperating Castro have been released recently, and Castro has met with Hugo Chavez and Evo Morales. However, his appearance at the conference will be Castro's first public appearance since his operation.
