Building The Perfect Candidate

I wish I could claim credit for this idea, but it's not mine. It's the original idea of a friend - the incomparable anntichrist s. coulter of the blog Mark of the Beast. Annti threw this idea out in the comment section of one of her posts. I liked the idea and thought some of you might also. Here is her idea of the perfect candidate:

Give me a populist with:
- the spine, morals & IQ of a Jimmy Carter
- the charm and intelligence of a Bill Clinton
- the desire to cure poverty of an FDR or an LBJ
- the balls, strength & personality of a JFK
- the humanity, wisdom & mirth of an Ann Richards
- the ascerbic truth-telling of a Molly Ivins
- the far-reaching prescience of a Margaret Atwood
- the brass ovaries & moral fiber of a Barbara Jordan
- the titanium spine of a Maya Angelou
- the mass-comminications skills of an Oprah Winfrey

Now THAT would be one hell of a good candidate! Especially considering the criminals and spineless wonders currently representing us in Washington.

Whenever I feel frustrated enough to scream and start kicking things, I go over to annti's place at Mark of the Beast. She has usually said out loud all the things I had been thinking. She is undoubtably the queen of blog ranting, and I highly recommend her site. I must give you one small warning though. If you are upset by a little cursing, you might not want to click on the above link. But if modern politicians irritate you as much as they do me, this may be just the blog you're looking for.

  2. How do you judge the candidates for Texas Governor according to these criteria?

    Here's my thoughts:

    - the spine, morals & IQ of a Jimmy Carter (BELL)
    - the charm and intelligence of a Bill Clinton (KINKY)
    - the desire to cure poverty of an FDR or an LBJ (BELL)
    - the balls, strength & personality of a JFK (STRAYHORN for taking on Perry and burning many bridges in the GOP)
    - the humanity, wisdom & mirth of an Ann Richards (wisdom - BELL; mirth - KINKY)
    - the ascerbic truth-telling of a Molly Ivins (BELL for his complaint against DeLay)
    - the far-reaching prescience of a Margaret Atwood (PERRY because he's found to get elected even though he's only supported by about 40% of Texas voters)
    - the brass ovaries & moral fiber of a Barbara Jordan (brass ovaries - STRAYHORN; moral fiber - BELL)
    - the titanium spine of a Maya Angelou (BELL for co-sponsoring equal marriage rights legislation and thus winning animousity from the Christian Coalition)
    - the mass-comminications skills of an Oprah Winfrey (PERRY because he knows how to use public funds to send out a notice to all Texans bragging about his "tax cut")
