Aussies Invent "Air Guitar" T-Shirt

I'm not sure what to think about this story. Most of us, especially those who like rock music, have played "air guitar" at some point in our lives. It usually happens when we're playing a song we like. But now, instead of playing along with a CD or the radio, by playing the "air guitar", you can produce the sounds of the music yourself.

A team of scientists from the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, announced from Canberra that they have invented an "air guitar" T-shirt. The T-shirt has a bunch of sensors built into it that picks up the motions of the wearer and feeds the impulses to a computer. The computer then interprets the motions as guitar sounds and produces the music.

One arm is interpreted as picking chords, and the other is interpreted as strumming the "air guitar". The scientists said the shirt could be adapted to both right and left-handed people.

I can't help but wonder just how drunk were these guys when they came up with this idea?
