Bernie On Speaker Boehner
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) has a valid point here. Speaker Boehner has not acted in the best interests of the House of Representatives, the government, the people of the United States, or his own political party. He has let himself be ruled by a tiny minority of his own Republican caucus, because he doesn't have the strength, intelligence, or political skill to control that caucus. And because that minority controls him (instead of him controlling the GOP caucus), he has refused several times now to even allow a vote on the Senate version of the continuing resolution -- in spite of the fact that the Senate has voted on every continuing resolution sent to it by the House. Boehner is the weakest and least effective Speaker of the House that this country has ever had.
