European Nations Prefer Clinton To Be Elected President

Residents of European countries cannot vote in our presidential election, and it is illegal for a foreign national to donate money to an American presidential candidate -- but that doesn't mean they don't have an opinion on who would make the best President for the United States. After all, the United States has a huge influence on other countries, and its president has a great deal to say about whether that influence is a negative or positive one.

The chart above is from the YouGov Poll. They combined the results of polls they have done in Britain, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland -- and what they found was that these European countries would much rather have Hillary Clinton be elected president than anyone else that is running. Bernie Sanders finishes a distant second, and all the Republican candidates trail far behind. I think the Republican candidates actually scare them.

You may think it doesn't matter what the Europeans think about our presidential election. I disagree. I think it is important to have a president that our allies trust and respect.
