Trump/Pence Logo Only Lasts One Day

After announcing Mike Pence as his running mate, the Trump campaign proudly released the new logo for the campaign (the top graphic). But it was met with much hilarity on social media, as people immediately made fun of it's sexual suggestibility. After only one day, it was scrapped, and replaced with the very boring bottom graphic.

Democratic Candidate Logos

We have five candidates running in the Democratic primaries -- Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Martin O'Malley, Jim Webb, and Lincoln Chafee. Most people are familiar with Clinton's logo (because when it was put out some made fun of it) -- and I think a lot of us are familiar with Sanders' logo. UTA Unveils New Logo

The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) has just unveiled their new logo. It seems they are trying to shake off their image as a regional university, so they decided they needed a new logo. The new logo (pictured above) makes the word "Texas" much larger than the word "Arlington".

UTA is a part of the University of Texas system, and has decided to play on that. After all, everyone has heard of the University of Texas, while not a lot of people outside the state of Texas has probably heard of UTA.

Jerry Lewis, UTA's vice-president of communications, says, "We're on a mission to become a major national research university. On a national stage, Texas has huge name recognition. We wanted to play up that angle."

UTA is an excellent school, and I hope the new logo and new emphasis helps them get where they want to go.
