This is a brilliant idea by General J.C. Christian over at Jesus' General. The teabaggers' "annual hate fest" is held on September 12th and the general thinks liberals should make their own statement on that day by making it Burn The Confederate Flag Day. The confederate flag is a well-known symbol of racial hatred and the teabaggers are known for their exploitation of racial hatred to make their political points, so it makes imminent sense to protest their hatred by burning a confederate flag (and I can't think of anything better to do with a confederate flag -- the flag of treason and slavery). Have a party that day and invite your friends to join in the fun and help burn this terrible flag in protest of teabagger hatred.
