The right-wing recently howled like banshees when President Obama took a vacation. They seem to have forgotten what a slacker their own man was. As Pundit Kitchen shows us, one of these presidents is a workaholic while the other -- not so much.
Imagine how much better the economy would be if we hadn't elected the Teabagger congress in 2010. The child-like ideologues that gave us the #TeaPartyDowngrade from S&P.
Besides, unless Obama can start issuing some Executive Orders for a WPA, FDR style infrastructure jobs program, the president has very little to do with our country's economic performance, other than standing in the way of right-wing ignoramuses' #JobKilling austerity legislation with his veto pen.
A Democratic President introduces and helps pass a stimulus package of three-quarters of a trillion dollars, purported to 1) create numerous "shovel-ready" jobs (which he later admits never were there); and 2)keep unemployment under 8 percent (when in reality it increased the jobless rate above levels projected for doing nothing).
That same Democratic President pushes for and get an extension of the Bush tax cuts.
The private sector, burdened with increased regulation under the Dodd-Frank Act and the uncertainty of ObamaCare, is understandably skittish about hiring new employees.
And this is all the fault of "the child-like ideologues that gave us the #TeaPartyDowngrade from S&P"?
ANONYMOUS COMMENTS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED. And neither will racist, homophobic, or misogynistic comments. I do not mind if you disagree, but make your case in a decent manner.
My take on the insane rightwing chatter over Obama's recent vacation:

Ditto Kris. I don't always comment but I always visit. Love this image.
ReplyDeleteJust think of how much better the economy would be if our current President actually had taken 225 days of vacation! :)
