Poll Says Congress Is Most Dishonest Of Any Profession

Each year the Gallup Poll asks Americans which professions they find to be the most dishonest. This year the members of Congress won (or maybe lost) the poll hands down. About 64% of the population rates them as low or very low in honesty and ethical standards -- they are viewed as more dishonest than lobbyists, car salespeople, and telemarketers (which are traditionally viewed as the most dishonest professions). In fact, the 64% scored by Congress has only been reached one time in the past -- in 2008 when lobbyists scored that low. This is just one more indication of just how unpopular Congress is with the American people.
