Whilst the sentiment might (or might not) be admirable, the Devil, as always, lies in the detail. Who decides where the boundaries of these so-called "proper spheres" actually run? For example, a Christian church will decree that you must not lie but a politician will tell you with equal fervour that lying is his business!
