Trickle-down economics is nothing new, it seems. President Johnson tried to warn Americans about this vile plan of the Republicans more than 40 years ago. But the plan could not be initiated until President Reagan was elected (who simply was not smart enough to see that it slanted the economic playing field in favor of the rich, and to the detriment of all other Americans).Trickle-down has always been an unworkable system overall. It assumes that whatever is good for the rich is good for all Americans. Nothing could be farther from the truth, but sadly, even today too many Americans can't see this truth -- and continue to accept the GOP lie.
