Morality Doesn't Depend On Religion
Christians (and many from other religions) would have us believe that a person cannot be moral without believing in a god. That is far from the truth. In fact, not believing in a god may be an advantage, because the person has no one to blame for an immoral act but themselves (and they don't have a god to forgive them for that misdeed). That makes your own actions more important in determining your character (because you can't take some religious verse out of context to justify that action).

Greg Graffin...
ReplyDeleteI listened to so much Bad Religion back in my college days. And just last week I fired up a playlist of all their songs and sang along from beginning to end...It was awesome.
Something about 9/11 always makes me bring back the punk music.
