Sorry Bernie, they've already bought it and are wreaking havoc as we speak. There will never be a law getting money out of politics because the people collecting the money are the ones that have to vote on that piece of legislation that will essentially take away their means of financing their campaigns on such a grand scale. That ship sailed. McCain Feingold is a joke.
"Multi-zillion unions"? You do live in a dream world. I wish unions were that popular and rich. But yes, Senator Sanders does have the support of working people because he represents their interests (just like Republicans have support of Wall Street millionaires, because they support their interests).
Well, I just googled asking how much American unions were worth and came across this:
"July 16--American Airlines union groups are sorting out how to divvy up an equity stake in the new company that could be worth around $1.76 billion.
Representatives of the Transport Workers Union will meet Tuesday to try to finalize who is eligible for the equity distribution and how much each worker will get.
The pot for TWU members, which covers about 25,000 maintenance and related workers, could be worth as much as $359 million and cover 3.46 percent of the new company created by the pending merger of American and US Airways."
Hard times, eh?! I wonder how much good 'ol Bernie got?
(By the way, I don't like your new commenting system - and yes, I realise you don't care too much!)
ANONYMOUS COMMENTS WILL NOT BE PUBLISHED. And neither will racist, homophobic, or misogynistic comments. I do not mind if you disagree, but make your case in a decent manner.

Oh my. I couldn't find a single Wall Street millionaire or billionaire on the list!
DeleteAny multi-zillion unions, perhaps?

What Bernie got is public knowledge, and didn't come from a secret super-PAC.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't have a new commenting system -- been using the same one for years.
