President Obama's approval rating went down to the lowest point of his presidency at the end of last year. More than half of Americans disapproved of his job performance, while some polls had his approval in the high 30's. This happened after the federal health insurance exchange opened with significant problems. But those problems have largely been fixed, and as the sign-ups for health insurance surge, so has the president's job approval rating.
The chart above reflects the findings of the latest Rasmussen Poll Daily Tracking of the president's ratings. Even more gratifying is that these numbers are from Rasmussen (which in the past has tended to skew 1 or 2 points toward the GOP's interests).
The poll also showed the Democrats regaining the lead in the generic House race, although by a small margin (40% to 38%).
