A Little Bit More Good News For Hillary Supporters
There's no doubt who the favorite is for the 2016 Democratic nomination for president -- Hillary Clinton. Poll after poll has shown she is the prohibitive favorite, and all she has to do to get the nomination is ask for it. But the United States has never had a female president. That leaves the question -- is the United States finally ready for a woman to be president?
The YouGov Poll tried to answer that question by querying 1,000 nationwide adults between March 15th and 17th (and their survey had a margin of error of 3.9 points). And Hillary supporters should be very happy with the results (as shown in the charts above). A substantial majority of 65% (well above the poll's margin of error) says yes -- this nation is ready to elect a woman to be president.
The survey goes on to say most think a woman would deal well with an international crisis, and that a woman could be just as tough on national defense as a man. It's taken far too long, but it looks like the voters of this country are finally ready to give a woman the chance to lead the nation -- and I can't think of anyone better for that than Hillary Clinton.
