Only a few days after the death of Robin Williams, another celebrity has died. Lauren Bacall died on Tuesday in New York of a stroke. She was 89 years old.
The American Film Institute labeled her a legend a few years ago, and although Bacall never liked the term, I believe it applies to this wonderful lady. She was talented, beautiful, smart, and classy -- and she was never afraid to say what she thought. She will be missed. Fortunately though, she left us a large body of work to remember her by -- work that will easily withstand the passage of time.
