Early Voting Starts In Texas And I Will Vote For . . .

I'm actually a day late with this post. Early voting started yesterday (Monday) in the state of Texas. I encourage all of my readers to vote in this election, and vote how your conscience tells you -- not how others want you to vote or who you think will win. This is your chance to have a voice in how you are going to be governed for the next couple of years. Don't pass up this chance. Don't let others make this decision for you.

  1. Wendy Davis? You must be joking!

"Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis earlier this month was pilloried in the press for her attack ad that prominently highlighted the fact that her Republican opponent Attorney General Greg Abbott uses a wheelchair. Davis took her attacks to a new level on Monday by strongly implying Abbott would support an interracial marriage ban, despite the fact that Abbott is married to a Latina. But less than three hours later, Davis again topped herself by forwarding an attack on Abbott about an unlikely issue: dildos.

In an emailed press release, Wendy Davis For Governor passed along an article from progressive magazine The Texas Observer entitled “Greg Abbott: Dildos? Against ‘em. Interracial Marriage? No Comment.” The piece attacks Abbott for his supposed reluctance to say whether he’d defend interracial marriage and his defense of Texas’ ban on the sale of sex toys. 2. The Daily Caller? Really? You need to stop getting your "information" (if lies can even be called information) from those right-wing rags. If Abbott is not a racist and bigot, then he has sold out to them, and being in a wheelchair doesn't absolve him of any guilt for that.
