I'm a firm believer that holidays should be fun. In that spirit, I bring you the results of this new YouGov Poll -- done between December 18th and 21st of a random national sample of 1,000 adults, with a 4 point margin of error.
In this tongue-in-cheek survey, YouGov asked respondents who should be put on Santa's "naughty" or "nice" lists. It looks like the public thinks Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have been especially naughty this year. President Obama received the highest percentage for the nice list.
They also did a list for celebrities, and Charlie Sheen topped the naughty list at 75%. Adele and Taylor Swift tied for the most support for being on the nice list (60%).
It is fun. But it is also an example of what I call casual cynicism. It doesn't speak well of the country that Obama is 7 points under water.
