I'm no expert on the bible. But it seems to me that it's really quite a wonderful collection of folk tales that have been filtered through centuries of poor translations and deliberate distortions. Think about people who see the image of Jesus in a fraying bedspread or arrangement of croissants in bakery window. We are servants of our wishful thinking and delusions. Line up what we know against what we haven't yet even discovered and,well, we have a long way to go. Closed minds aren't going to be much help during the journey.
