This is for the Bernie supporters who claim that Sanders is the most popular candidate with the voters (and he is being defeated only because of establishment "super delegates"). It has always been my understanding that the most popular candidate (i.e., the winning candidate) is the candidate with the most votes -- and that is clearly Hillary Clinton.
Hillary Clinton has received more votes than any other presidential candidate through April 6th -- 1.2 million more than Donald Trump, and 2.5 million more than Bernie Sanders.
