Job Approval Of The Republican Congress Is Still Very Low
These charts reflect the public's approval of the U.S. Congress in the latest Gallup Poll -- done between April 6th and 10th of a random national sample of 1,015 adults, with a margin of error of 4 points.
Note that the public's approval of Congress is still very low -- coming in at only 17%. According to Gallup, congressional approval has not topped 20% since October of 2012 (nearly 4 years), and has not been as high as 40% since 2005 (about 11 years).
I think there's now a very good chance that the Democrats regain a Senate majority -- and that they'll pick up a significant number of seats in the House. The continuing low numbers (even from those in their own party) should worry Republicans.
