This chart reflects the findings of the Gallup Poll. It asked respondents in 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2016 if the presidential candidates had the personality and leadership qualities to be president. The 2016 survey was done on October 27th and 28th of a random national sample of 945 registered voters, with a 4 point margin of error.
Note that there's only one candidate that doesn't have a majority thinking he has those presidential qualities -- Donald Trump (who has only 32% saying he has presidential qualities).
