The American people are not happy with the way the Trump transition is going. Only 48% approve of Trump's transition (with an equal 48% disapproving). That approval is 27 points lower than the Obama transition, 17 points lower than the Bush transition, and 19 points lower than the Clinton transition.
Trump seems to think he has the support of a majority of Americans. He doesn't. His presidency is starting in a much more precarious position than any other modern presidency, and could go south on him in a hurry.
The chart above is from the Gallup Poll -- done between December 7th and 11th of a random national sample of 1,028 adults, and has a 4 point margin of error.
