The Unemployment Rate In The Individual States

I normally keep up with the unemployment rate of the country as a whole each month. But I thought you might like to see how each state is doing with unemployment. As you can see, some states are doing pretty well, and other are not.

The numbers, from the Labor Department statistics, are for December (the last month which the Labor Department has statistics for individual states). The national average for December was 4.7% unemployment. 25 states had an unemployment percentage equal to or higher than 4.7% -- while the other 25 states had a percentage lower than the national average.
