Donald Trump Is His Own Worst Enemy
This chart reflects information in a recent Monmouth University Poll -- done between May 13th and 17th of a random national sample of 1,002 adults, with a 3.1 point margin of error.
The two most visible defenders of the Trump administration are Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway. Both has destroyed what little credibility they once had by passing on the lies of Donald Trump, and insisting they are true. Have they been effective in helping the administration?
No. Only 28% say Spicer helps the administration when he speaks, while 42% say he hurts the administration. That's a negative gap of 14 points. It's almost as bad for Conway. About 28% say she helps by speaking up, while 40% say she hurts the administration -- a negative gap of 12 points.
But those look like good numbers when compared to Trump. When Trump speaks, about 33% say he helps his administration, while a whopping 61% say he hurts the administration. That's a negative gap of 28 points. It turns out that Trump is his own worst enemy, and every time he speaks out (usually to lie), he hurts his own cause.
