Many Still Believe Bible Has Solutions To Modern Problems
An embarrassingly large number of Americans still believe a book written by various authors 2000 years ago provides solutions to the problems of our modern society. That's the view of 55% of the American public.
The only saving grace to this is that the percentage has dropped significantly. In 1957, the number believing that was 82%. That's a drop of 27 points in the last 6 decades. At least things are moving in the right direction.
The chart above is from the Gallup Poll -- done between May 3rd and 7th of a random national sample of 1,011 adults, with a margin of error of 4 points.
