Only 42% Say Religion Is Very Important In Their Lives
The chart above represents the results from a recent Rasmussen Poll -- done on October 30th and 31st of a random national sample of 1,000 likely voters, with a 3 point margin of error.
The religious right would like for us to believe that this is a religious country (specifically a christian country). But only 42% say their religion is very important in their daily lives (and not all of that 42% are christians). That sounds to me like most Americans like living in a secular country.
