These charts show the job approval for Donald Trump for the last year. The top chart shows his approval among women, and the bottom chart shows his approval among men.
Note that women have a large disapproval over approval gap -- and it has been that way for all of the last year. Trump's approval among women has never reached 40% and his disapproval has never dipped as low as 50%. He currently has a 33% approval to 54% disapproval -- a negative gap of 21 points among women.
The gap has never been as large among men. Currently 46% approve and 45% disapprove. That 1 point gap does nothing to overcome Trump unpopularity with women. Trump would be in serious trouble even if women and men voted in equal numbers -- but it's compounded since women normally vote in larger numbers than men.
These charts were made using information in the Economist / YouGov Poll. The surveys were done over the last year, and each survey was done of 1,500 adults, with a margin of error of about 3.4 points.
