Kavanaugh - Lowest Support Of SC Nominee In 31 Years
Brett Kavanaugh, Trump's Supreme Court nominee, is not supported by the public. In fact, he has the lowest support of any Supreme Court nominee in the last three decades -- even lower than Robert Bork (whose support had climbed to a meager 38% right before his rejection). Kavanaugh is supported by only 37% of the population (see top chart).
The second chart shows the Demographic breakdown of Kavanaugh's support/nonsupport. Note that he doesn't get majority support from any groups.
These charts reflect the results of a new CNN / SSRS Poll -- done between August 9th and 12th of a national sample of 1.002 adults, with a margin of error of 3.9 points.
