Kavanaugh Is Not Popular With The American Public
The hearings on the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court started yesterday in Congress. Unless some Republican senator changes his/her mind, it is looking like Kavanaugh will barely be approved. That is not necessarily what the American public wants though.
He is unpopular with both Democrats (17%) and Independents (37%). It is only Republicans (72%) that support his nomination. Among the general public, Kavanaugh is the most unpopular Supreme Court nominee since Robert Bork in 1987.
These numbers are from the Gallup Poll.
