Donald Trump is still a climate change denier. He says he doesn't believe his government's own report that climate change is caused by human and is a serious and growing problem. That puts him in opposition to the beliefs of most Americans.
About 59% of the American public now believes climate change is caused by human activity (specifically the overuse of fossil fuels). And 74% say they trust the scientists that are warning about the seriousness of climate change. That's more than twice as many as those who say they trust Trump on climate change (32%).
The charts above reflect the results of a new Politico / Morning Consult Poll -- done on December 4th of a national sample of 1,975 registered voters, with a 2 point margin of error.
