If Election Was Now, Trump Would Lose By 8 To 9 Points
The chart above reflects the results of the newest Economist / YouGov Poll -- done between March 10th and 12th of a national sample of 1,500 adults (including 1,279 registered voters). The margin of error for adults is 3.1 points and for registered voters is 2.8 points.
It shows that Donald Trump has a lot of ground to make up before next year's election. He trails among adults by 8 points, and among registered voters by 9 points. Those gaps are probably too large for the electoral college to save him.
He does especially poorly among women, voters under 45, and minorities.
