Only 29% Say Mueller Investigation Exonerated Trump

After Attorney General Barr's released his four-page summary of the Mueller Report, Donald Trump was quick to claim he was completely exonerated. And he has repeated that claim many times in the last few days. Do the American people believe that?

In a word -- NO! Only about 29% believe Trump was cleared of wrongdoing by the report -- about the size of his base. A plurality of 40% say he was NOT exonerated, and the remaining 31% say they don't know.

The chart above is from a new NBC News / Wall Street Journal Poll -- done between March 25th and 27th of a national sample of 1,000 adults, with a 3.1 point margin of error.
