The chart above reflects the results of a Gallup Poll -- done between May 15-30 and June 3-16 of a national sample of 944 Democrats and Democratic-leaning Independents, with a 4 point margin of error.
The respondents were asked which was most important to them in choosing a candidate to support -- someone who agrees on the issues, or someone with the best chance of beating Trump. By a 19 point margin, they chose the candidate they thought had the best chance to defeat Trump.
Democrats know that this election is about getting Trump out of the White House. Another four years of Trump is unthinkable, and would be disastrous for the country. They also know that any of the 25 Democratic candidates would be a much, much better president than Trump.
There is only one real issue in the 2020 election campaign -- beating Trump. Everything else is secondary. I agree!
