The Gallup Poll didn't start polling serious about LGBT issues until 1977. Since then there has been a radical change in the public's opinion. It's only been 42 years, but a lot has been accomplished in that 42 years -- a lot of minds have been changed.
The 2019 numbers were done of a national sample of 1,017 adults between May 15th and 30th, and has a 4 point margin of error.
