New Poll Shows Collins In Trouble With Maine Voters

It looks like Senator Susan Collins of Maine is in real trouble with her home state voters. That's not good, since she must run for re-election in the 2020 election.

Only 35% of Maine voters approve of the job she is doing, while 50% disapprove. If the election was held now, she would lose to a generic Democratic opponent by 3 points (44% to 41%). And if she opposes impeaching Trump, that margin would grow to 7 points (47% to 40%).

The charts above are from the latest Public Policy Polling survey -- done between October 11th and 13th of 939 Maine voters, with a 3.2 point margin of error.
