Views On Ethics/Purpose Of News Differs By Party



The charts on this page are from the Pew Research Center. They questioned 12,256 adults between February 2018 and July 2019. The margin of error is about 2.1 points (2.9 for Democrats and 3.2 for Republicans).

Note in the charts above that the two parties differ markedly in how they view the ethics of journalists and the confidence they have in journalists.

The charts below show the opinions of different demographic groups about journalists.
