Public Much More Serious About Pandemic Than Month Ago
The chart above is from the USA Today / Ipsos Poll -- done on April 9th and 10th of a national sample of 1,005 adults, with a 3.5 point margin of error. It compares this poll to a similar one done on March 10th and 11th.
It shows the public has gotten a lot more serious about the pandemic than they were in March. There's a 29 point jump in those believing it's a threat to the global economy, a 37 point jump in those saying it's a threat to the U.S., a 21 point jump in those saying it's a threat to the stock market, and a 14 point jump to those saying it's a personal threat to them.
