Republicans And Democrats Disagree On COVID-19 Deaths
The chart above is from the Morning Consult Poll -- done between May 8th and 10th of a national sample of 1,994 registered voters, with a 2 point margin of error.
Do you trust the official count of deaths from the Coronavirus in the United States? Only about 20% of Americans believe the count is accurate (or near accurate). And political partisanship is a determinate of whether a person who doesn't trust the count thinks it is an under count or an over count.
A plurality of Republicans (44%) believe the actual number of deaths is lower than the official count. Meanwhile, a plurality of Democrats (43%) and Independents (36%) believe the actual number of deaths is higher.
