Virus Cases Going Down In New York - Rising In Rest Of U.S.

As states across the country end their stay-at-home orders and begin to reopen their businesses, the chart above (from The New York Times) should worry us.

The Coronavirus has hit the New York metro area the hardest because of their density of population, and much of the coverage the media has given the pandemic has focused on that area. The number of virus cases is now starting to go down -- thanks to their severe social-distancing regulations.

Unfortunately, that has given many people the perception that the virus cases are dropping nationwide. That is NOT true. While the cases are dropping in New York, they are rising in the rest of the country. And as many states reopen, those cases are going to rise even faster.
