Trump has said he might run for president again in 2024 if he loses this year (which has happened). But most people don't want that to happen. About 60% of adults and 61% of registered voters say they do NOT want Trump to run again in 2024, and that is true among all groups and all parts of the country.
The chart above reflects the results of a NPR / PBS NewsHour / Marist Poll -- done between December 1st and 6th of a national sample of 1,065 adults (including 916 registered voters). The margin of error for adults is 3.7 points, and for registered voters is 4 points.
