The chart above reflects the results two USA Today / Ipsos Polls -- done on June 8th and 9th (of 1,113 national adults) and on March 1st and 2nd (of 1,165 national adults). Each poll has a 3.3 point margin of error.
Last June, 60% of the public considered the killing of George Floyd to be a murder. In March of this year, that number has dropped to only 36%. Are Americans ready to forgive a murderer just because he was wearing a police uniform?
