    I occasionally hear the "no gun control" side.

    What national figure, what regional figure, what local political leader, what organization proposes that all guns be taken away?

    I'm good with both-sides-thinking as a conclusion, even if it is a wrong conclusion.
    I'm impatient with it as an unquestioned premise.

    It strikes me as the sort of lazy thinking that this site can almost always be counted upon to resist, to fight against.

      I grew up in a rural community where every family had a gun. I don't want to take guns away from honest and law-abiding people. I just want to keep them out of the hands of dangerous people.
