Majority Now Thinks The U.S. Is Moving In Right Direction

The chart above reflects the results of the latest AP-NORC Poll -- done between April 29th and May 3rd of a national sample of 1,842 adults, with a 3.2 point margin of error.

It shows that for the first time in many years a majority of the public believes the nation is heading in the right direction. Note that the change started to happen with the election of President Biden, and improved significantly with his inauguration. Those believing the country is heading in the right direction are 10 points higher than those that don't believe that (54% to 44%).
