The chart above is from the Gallup Poll. The poll was done between July 16th and 26th of a national sample of 3,475 adults, with a 2 point margin of error.
In June, 89% said the pandemic was getting better (either a little or a lot). That is no longer true. Now only 40% say that (a huge drop of 49 points), while 45% say it's getting worse (either a little or a lot).
The spread of the Delta variant while many refuse to be vaccinated has caused the drop.
